The Computer Assisted Genealogy Group of Northern Illinois (more commonly known as CAGGNI) respects your privacy. Any personal information you provide to us, including and similar to your name, address, telephone number and email address, will not be released, sold or rented to any entities or individuals outside of CAGGNI.

• Your Information: While your personal information is only available to other members via CAGGNI’s member-only site, you still have the option to control what is visible to other members by visiting your Member Profile and clicking on the “Edit profile” button.
  
• Email: CAGGNI sends you automatic announcements about upcoming events and emails from administrators, such as newsletters and other notifications. You can opt out of receiving these by changing your email settings at any time in your Member Profile.
  
• Website and Newsletter: Periodically articles about and photos of members will be displayed on the CAGGNI website, in the CAGGNI Newsletter and in our private Facebook group. If you do not want your photo or other information used, please contact webmaster @ caggni.org.
  
• Credit Cards: CAGGNI hands off all credit card processing to PayPal and therefore does not collect any credit card information. Please refer to PayPal for their privacy policy.
  
• External Sites: CAGGNI is not responsible for the policies of external internet sites to which the CAGGNI website may link. Read the privacy policy of any linked, external site for more information.
  
• Cookies: A "cookie" is a small data text file that is placed in your browser and allows CAGGNI (and our website host company, Wild Apricot) to recognize you each time you visit this site. Cookies are used to ensure you get the best experience on CAGGNI’s website. CAGGNI does not use cookies to collect personal information.
