2015 Road Trip
April 23 - 25, 2015
Join us for CAGGNI's 4th Road Trip, this year to the Wisconsin Historical Society in the heart of the UW Campus in Madison. WHS boasts some of finest genealogical holdings on the continent, including exceptional French-Canadian and Midwestern resources.
Activities commence Thursday pm, April 23rd for an informal dinner. On Friday, the library and archives are open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. A 30 minute orientation of the library by a WHS genealogist will take place at 9:00AM. A CAGGNI dinner will be held at Porta Bella's just off campus. On Saturday, library and archives open at 8:00AM; library closes at 5:00PM, archives at 4:00PM.
An optional pre-trip to the Norwegian American Genealogical Center and Naeseth Library on Thursday April 23 is encouraged for those with Norwegian roots. Non-members of the Naeseth will pay an additional $15 fee directly to the Naeseth upon arrival.
Attendees are encouraged to attend the companion preparation events, "The Wisconsin Historical Society Library & Archives: What's in it? Everything!" by George Findlen on February 21, 2015 and the April 11, 2015 WHS Preparation Workshop.
