Storytellers' Special Interest Group

CAGGNI's Storytellers' Special Interest Group is for those interested in the DOING of family history writing and storytelling. Do you need an assigned topic? Do you need deadlines to help get you motivated? Then join this group. 

The Storytellers' group is dedicated to writing family stories for sharing with family members and others. Preserve your family's history legacy by writing and sharing your story.

Your March “assignment” is to write your own obituary. 

Be sure to include the appropriate genealogical details (b,m,d,bur), including names, places and dates. Don’t be shy about narrating your accomplishments during your time “between the dashes.”

If you’d prefer to bring something else you’ve been working on, that’s fine as well. If you have a conflict on March 10, you can send Marti a pdf file, which she’ll print for sharing and then return to you at the CAGGNI meeting. As always, bring two copies of your writing to share with others to get their reactions and suggestions.

We’ll meet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, at a new place: The Grove Kitchen, 795 W. Dundee Rd., Palatine, at the SE corner of Dundee and Quinten Roads.
