About the Member Application
Membership Period
CAGGNI memberships are on a one year, calendar basis. The membership year runs from January 1 - December 31, but we welcome you to join CAGGNI at any time.
- Q1 joiners pay dues for the current calendar year.
- Q2 joiners may choose: pay in full for the current calendar year - select "Member, Regular" - or select Member, Mid-Year Joiner" to pay a pro-rated amount for the current year and pre-pay for next year.
- Q3 joiners pay pro-rated dues for the current calendar year and pre-pay for the following year.
- Q4 joiners pay for the following year.
- Renewal will take place in January of the first year in which dues comes due.
Completing the Profile
Required fields are indicated by bold text and an asterisk (*). We encourage you to submit a complete application, but you can add more information or edit your profile at any time using View Profile, Edit Profile after you have completed your initial application.
The Privacy of Your Account
Member Directory
By default, your contact information - name, address, email address, and telephone number – along with the information in the Personal Information section of the Membership Application, will be available to other members in the Member Directory. The Member Directory is one of your CAGGNI membership benefits; it permits you to contact others in CAGGNI who are doing like research. The Member Directory resides behind the Member firewall and is NOT available to non-members. If, however, you wish to block any information from view in the Member Directory, you may do so. Select View Profile near the login box, then in the My Profile page select Access By Others and set any fields you do not wish to appear in the Member Directory to No Access. You can view your entry in the Member Directory to see how it appears when you have completed modifying the access settings to each field.
For Internal Use Only fields
The fields in this section help CAGGNI target its offerings. This information does not appear in the Member Directory.
Surnames
The Surnames entries are the only entries in your Member Application that are available to the general public. See the About Surnames page for more complete information on Surnames entry.
Couples
CAGGNI no longer offers couple membership applications. Please register as two individuals. In the event you share an email address, enter a bogus email address for the 2nd user to create the account.
